1. Who we are
We operate timberfalls.us under the registered doing-business-as (DBA) name Timberfalls. Our services include our online shop, Timberfalls Academy, memberships, coaching, custom project services, creator marketplace and affiliate program. This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use these services or contact us.
For privacy questions or requests, email timberfalls.us@gmail.com or use our contact page.
2. Information we collect
The information collected depends on how you use Timberfalls:
- Accounts: your name, username, email address, authentication information and account preferences.
- Purchases and memberships: contact and billing details, shipping details when relevant, items purchased, order and transaction identifiers, payment status, subscription status and download or access records.
- Academy: enrollment, course access and recorded lesson or course progress associated with your account.
- Coaching and custom projects: appointment details, contact information, messages, project requirements and files or reference images you provide. Coaching may involve audio, video and screen sharing through Zoom. A session is recorded only by agreement, as described in our coaching terms.
- Discord: when you connect a Discord account, account identifiers and membership or role information used to connect your account and manage community access.
- Sellers and affiliates: application and contact information, store or website details, referral codes, attributed orders, commissions and payout information you provide for program administration.
- Inquiries and contributions: information in contact forms, emails, support requests, reviews, comments and other content you choose to submit.
- Website activity: IP address, browser and device information, visited pages, referring links, interactions, cookie identifiers and information used for website operation, security, measurement and advertising.
We receive information directly from you, through your use of the website, and from services involved in your transactions, bookings or connected accounts. Please avoid including passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated sensitive personal information in messages or uploaded files.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts; process orders, payments and memberships; deliver downloads and course access; arrange coaching and custom work; manage Discord access; administer seller and affiliate programs; respond to inquiries; send service communications; investigate fraud and technical problems; maintain business records; and meet legal obligations.
We also use website activity information to understand how visitors find and use Timberfalls, measure purchases and advertising performance, and support our marketing. The analytics and advertising services involved are described below.
4. Payments
Payments are handled through the payment services offered for the relevant checkout or arrangement. These include PayPal for memberships and other purchases, and Stripe within our booking system. Separately arranged direct payments may use PayPal, Venmo or Cash App.
The selected provider processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Timberfalls receives transaction information needed to administer the purchase, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, billing details and order information. Payment integrations may also use cookies and device information for payment processing and fraud prevention.
Provider information:
PayPal privacy statement,
Stripe privacy policy,
Venmo privacy policy and
Cash App privacy notice.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies and similar technologies help the website recognize a browser and remember information between visits. Timberfalls uses them for different purposes:
- Account and shopping functions: maintaining login sessions, remembering cart contents, supporting checkout and storing preferences.
- Analytics: Google Analytics measures visits, traffic sources, interactions and ecommerce activity such as adding an item to the cart or making a purchase. Google receives information through these tools, including browser and device information, identifiers and activity data. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Advertising: Meta's Facebook tracking tools collect browser identifiers and website activity to help measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. These tools can allow Meta to associate activity with other information it holds, including a Meta account. The site uses an advertising cookie called
_fbp. See Meta's privacy policy and cookie policy. - Referral attribution: referral links, coupon codes and tracking identifiers help associate visits or qualifying purchases with an affiliate and calculate commissions. Following a partner link to another business also subjects your visit to that business's tracking and privacy practices.
- Embedded services: videos, calendars and other externally hosted content may use cookies and collect information when that content loads or you interact with it.
Some cookies last only for a browser session; others persist until they expire or are deleted. The duration depends on the service and its settings.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect sign-in, checkout, payment or referral functions. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. Google and Meta provide advertising preference controls in their services. These controls have different scopes: changing ad preferences does not necessarily stop all data collection, and deleting cookies does not erase information already received by a provider.
6. When information is shared
Information is shared as needed for the services involved:
- Operational providers: website hosting, email delivery, storage, backups, security, payment processing, scheduling, video meetings and other services used to run Timberfalls.
- Marketplace sellers: relevant order, customer and support information when needed to fulfill or support a seller's products. Our seller terms restrict use of customer information to legitimate order support and prohibit unauthorized marketing.
- Affiliates: referral and order reporting used to explain attributed sales and commission calculations.
- Analytics and advertising providers: Google and Meta receive information through the tools described above.
- Other authorized recipients: when you ask us to share information or connect an outside service.
- Legal and business needs: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect rights or handle a business transfer, subject to applicable requirements.
Advertising-related disclosures can be treated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged for the information. Any rights concerning that processing depend on the law applicable to you and Timberfalls. Contact us with a privacy request using the details below.
7. Public content and external platforms
Seller profiles, product listings and any published reviews or comments may be visible to other visitors. Information posted in Discord is visible according to the channel's access settings and Discord's practices. Files or images made publicly available may contain embedded metadata, including location information; remove information you do not want disclosed before uploading.
Where comments or profile images use Gravatar, an email-derived identifier may be sent to that service to retrieve a profile image. See Automattic's privacy policy. Comments and submissions may also be checked for spam.
Google Calendar, YouTube, Zoom, Discord and other external services have their own privacy practices. Embedded services may receive information such as your IP address, browser details and interaction data, and may associate it with an account you hold with them. See Google's privacy policy, Zoom's privacy statement and Discord's privacy policy.
Our custom-project terms also address portfolio use of completed work and non-confidential previews. Please discuss confidentiality before submitting materials for a project.
8. Email and other communications
We use contact information for order confirmations, access instructions, appointment information, membership notices, support and other communications about the services you use. Service emails may be routed through our email providers and Timberfalls' Gmail account.
We do not currently send promotional email campaigns or upload customer email lists to Meta or Google for advertising. Website-based analytics and advertising tracking are described in Section 5. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required before beginning the new use.
9. Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose of the information. Account, enrollment and access records support ongoing services. Order, payment, membership and payout records may need to be kept for accounting, tax, dispute and legal requirements. Inquiries, project files, appointment records and agreed recordings may be retained for delivery, support or resolving questions about the service. Technical logs and provider-held data are subject to the relevant systems' settings.
Account closure or a deletion request does not necessarily remove records that must be retained for those purposes. Backup copies may remain until replaced or removed under the backup process. Contact us about a specific record or deletion request.
Our website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. No website, storage system or communication method can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
10. Your privacy requests
You can review available account settings and contact us to request access to, correction of, a copy of or deletion of personal information associated with you. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising-related uses or disclosures.
Send requests to timberfalls.us@gmail.com with the subject Privacy Request. Include the email address associated with your Timberfalls account and describe your request. We may need information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Do not email your password or full payment-card details. We will handle the request in accordance with applicable law and explain any relevant limitation.
Deleting information needed for account access can affect access to purchases, courses or memberships. We may need to retain transaction, security or legal records. Requests relating to information held independently by another provider may also need to be directed to that provider. Emailing us is not an immediate browser-level tracking control; the cookie and provider controls described above have separate effects.
11. Location and younger users
Timberfalls operates in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
Our terms require an adult to enter into purchases and account agreements. Educational use by a minor must follow the parent or guardian requirements in those terms. Timberfalls is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address it.
12. Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The revised policy will appear on this page with an updated date. Additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
